As reported earlier, Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi film 'Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho' was to be remade in Hindi by Salman Khan.
But the project has gotten delayed due to various reasons over the last few months due to various reasons. One reason is actor Govinda's non-acceptance of the role being offered to him. Manjrekar's Marathi film was about a father's desire to see his son excel in academics and the son's inability to do so. While the story is going to be same for the Hindi version, Manjrekar and Salman wanted Govinda to play the role of the father and had approached him for it.
But according to an HT report the actor turned down the role saying he didn't like the script and had asked for it to be modified. The latest news is that after being approached again by Salman (who is also a part of the cast), Govinda has still not given the nod for the project.
Govinda was to play the role originally played by Bharat Jadhav. The film also had Saksham Kulkarni, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kranti Redkar and Siddharth Jadhav in important roles. While the cast is yet to be finalised we would love to see Sallu bhai and Chi Chi together again after 'Partner'.
