PRDP has a decent hold on Thursday. According to official figures Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 8th day box office collection is 7.37 crore. Salman Khan starrer PRDP has a decent occupancy in the morning shows. The single screens were rock solid while multiplexes have another 5-10% fall. The overall occupancy was 15-20%. Central India is still going strong having the best hold.
PRDP 8th day collection were affected by the Hollywood release Spectre which was screened today. The James Bond is quite popular even among masses. But due to the strong hold in interiors, Prem Ratan Dhan Pay will have another good day at the box office.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo box office collection in 8 days will be around 172.82 crore. The first extended week has beaten big films like Happy New Year, Krrish 3 and Kick. But it could not cross Salman Khan’s last release Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
The film has recovered is high investment and will be another hit for Salman Khan. Though more was expected from this family drama, but still it is a good result considering the genre.
Now the second weekend has become all important. The multiplexes have not been strong on weekdays and may crash now. But the good news is that single screens will have solid occupancy in the second weekend too. As the reports are very positive from interiors.
