The 'Bigg Boss' 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode on Saturday was much different from the usual. Host Salman Khan entered the stage dressed in black with out any music or dancing, which some would call his signature entry. With a plain face, he condemned the Peshawar army school massacre where 132 students of an Army school were killed by terrorist.
He remarked that perhaps the outrages from around the world had creped into the house as well and manifested in the changing behaviors of the housemates. He called upon psychologist Dr. Sawant to try and understand the changes in the behaviors of the housemates.
The doctor started by evaluating Upen Patel whose behavior in the last two weeks had shocked all his fan and housemates. The doctor claimed that it is probably the other side of his personality which is now coming out as he has spent much time in the house hiding it away. When it came to Ali Quli Mirza, the doctor himself was surprised and was unable to reach to a conclusion as to how he could backbite and change sides so easily and without fear. This analysis was accompanied by some videos with a funny tone, though Salman, who still seemed disturbed by the Peshawar incident, was rarely seen laughing.
Salman then went inside the house through the screen on the Bigg Boss stage -- a routine practice which he clubs with some comical movements and actions. But on Saturday's episode, he did no such thing. Following the format of the show, Salman discussed the fight between Dimpy Ganguly and Pritam Singh that had ensued inside the house few days ago. He compared their fight to Karishma Tanna and Gautam Gulati's previous fight during the similar 'Hijack' task. While housemates debated and argued among themselves, Salman heard the entire debate with a straight face.
At the end too, quite unlike his usual self, he at once announced that Praneet Bhat was the evicted housemate of the week. Promising to meet again on Sunday, Salman Khan apologized to the viewers for the low energy of the episode. Since the time of the attack in Peshawar, the actor has been expressing his anger and grief through Twitter.
