Exclusive: Records Made By Prem Ratan Dhan Payo All Time

Sooraj Barjatya's directorial film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" (PRDP) has crossed Rs 150 crore mark at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend. "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" starring Salman Khan in double role had an extended opening weekend at the box office as it was released on Thursday. The film started on a fantastic note on Thursday and remained steady during the next three days.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which opened to mixed response from critics, is performing well at the box office as families are patronising the film.
Domestic box office
From the domestic box office, Sooraj Barjatya's directorial film minted a net income of Rs 129.77 crore. The four-day domestic box office collection of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is the second highest, beating the lifetime box office collection record of the Hindi version of "Baahubali – The Beginning" (Bahubali).
"#PremRatanDhanPayo Thu 40.35 cr, Fri 31.05 cr, Sat 30.07 cr, Sun 28.30 cr. Total: ₹ 129.77 cr. Hindi version. India biz. FANTASTIC!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
If the film continues to be steady at the box office, it will cross Rs 150 crore mark in India in its first week.
Overseas box office
The family oriented film has surprised trade analysts with its overseas box office collection, by crossing the Rs 50 crore. "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" has minted a whopping $ 8.9 million (Rs 59 crore) from the overseas box office in its opening weekend.
"#PremRatanDhanPayo India nett: ₹ 129.77 cr. India gross: ₹ 191 cr... Overseas: $ 8.9 million [₹ 59 cr]. Worldwide gross: ₹ 250 cr. AWESOME!" Adarsh added.
The film is looking to touch Rs 100 crore mark at the overseas box office, which is a rare phenomenon.
Worldwide box office
The four-day worldwide opening weekend box office collection of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" stands at Rs 188.77 crore. The film will touch the Rs 200 crore mark soon at the worldwide box office.
Directed by Barjatya, the film features Sonam as a princess and Neil Nitin Mukesh as the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor's evil brother. The film also features Swara Bhaskar, Anupam Kher, Deepak Dobriyal and Armaan Kohli as supporting cast.
