A man’s true wealth is the good he does in this world! And certainly the two big Khans are following this! Last week, it was Shah Rukh khan who helped an unemployed lightman put his daughter back in school and now it’s Salman Khan’s turn to do his bit. Salman who is known to be one of the noted philanthropists in the film industry is lending his support to a background dancer Vinay Pathak who is currently hospitalised due to kidney failure.
Vinay has matched steps to Salman in films like ‘Partner’, ‘Wanted’ and ‘Mujhse Shadi Karogi’ and has also assisted prominent choreographers like Ahmed Khan, Bosco Caesar, Vaibhavi Merchant and Remo D’Souza. The 34-year-old dancer is going through a bad phase, he was hospitalised few months back after his diabetic condition worsened. The dance fraternity is doing its best to help Vinay’s family and apparently around 100 dancers from Salman’s movie ‘Jai Ho’ donated their day’s pay towards Vinay’s hospital bills, which amount to around INR 1.5 lakh per week.
When this news reached Salman, he immediately asked his team members to get in touch with the dancer’s family. The generous Salman has promised to pay all of Vinay’s bills. Ravi Kanwar, general secretary of Cine Dancers Association, who is heading the cause of gathering funds for Vinay said in an interview to Mumbai Mirror, “I am glad Salmanbhai has stepped in at the right time to save Vinay. He has recently been transferred to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital after spending months in smaller hospitals.”
Meanwhile, the dance fraternity has vowed to keep up their support. Choreographer Ahmed Khan said, “Vinay was on insulin for many years and now he is very weak. He is a brave man and prefers to smile through the pain.”
