Superstar Salman Khan is supporting the 18th International Children’s Film Festival India (ICFFI) and he will also promote the event on his social networking pages on Facebook and Twitter.
Salman was the obvious choice, said Shravan Kumar, festival director and CEO, Children’s Film Society
The actor will not be personally present for the seven-day festival, starting November 14 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, but he has recorded an audio-visual clip, which will be shown at the festival.
Salman was the obvious choice, said Shravan Kumar, festival director and CEO, Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI).
“Salman Khan was our obvious choice for a simple reason that children love him. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to come for the 18th ICFFI due to his prior work commitments, but he is kind enough to shoot a promotional AV for us,” said Kumar, in a statement.
The association will help the festival grab more eyeballs, believes Amole Gupte, chairman, CFSI.
“We are very grateful to Salman Khan for lending his support to the 18th Golden Elephant. His voice will help us to reach out to the maximum number of children because they adore him,” said Gupte, known for writing children’s film “Taare Zameen Par” and directing “Stanley Ka Dabba”.
The film festival will showcase more than 200 movies from over 45 countries.
“Goopi Gawaiyaa Bagha Bajaiyaa”, directed by Shilpa Ranade, will be screened in the Competition Animation category and Mukhtiar Batul’s “Kaphal” will be screened in the Competition Live Action section.
